My Background
My name is Jeff Shelburn and I come from a family with many skilled tradesmen. My Uncle Jim and Uncle Steve are very talented woodworkers. My grandpa Shelburn owned Shelburn Window and Door Co. and my other grandpa built the house I grew up in! He also set tile for many years.
When I was a teenager, I lived in Paraguay, South America with my family for five years doing volunteer work and helping with lots of unique projects. I remember doing things like building a house in a remote location with bricks made out of mud and horse hair in the 120 degree Paraguayan heat!
Some of my best times I had as a little guy, were working with my dad in the shop in our basement and around the yard. As you can see in the pictures below, I love to work. Even as a little kid, I was ALWAYS keeping busy doing something. I still love to work – I think it’s fulfilling and enjoyable and I’m thankful I was able to start a business doing what I love.
After high school, I got certified as a personal fitness trainer and went to college for sports nutrition. Then I worked for a custom home builder with my dad and brother. I worked for a few other companies doing everything from general maintenance to new home construction, tile installation, granite fabrication and remodeling. I learned a lot with each opportunity and knew one day I wanted to start my own business.
I eventually figured out that residential remodeling and specifically setting tile is what I really enjoy. I take pride in doing an excellent job, and I look forward to working with you to enhance your home and create great spaces that you will enjoy.
